I’m Joseph Whittington, a graphic designer living and working in the greater Chicago area. I have extensive experience developing and creating designs as well as executing these designs and marketing pieces across a wide brand spectrum. In my current position as Interactive Developer/Graphic Designer at Pepper Group, I work alongside a team of talented marketing professionals committed to delivering results. I work with large and small clients on everything from sales presentations to re-branding and product launches. I design printed marketing materials as well as websites and mobile apps. I present design concepts to clients and continually work with them to implement a design strategy. I have worked with clients like 3M, Follett and North American, and have a proven track record of exceeding expectations for clients.
Prior to Pepper Group, I worked as a graphic designer at the National Association of Tax Professionals. At NATP, I created promotional materials specifically for Tax Store products. Starting in 2011, I assisted NATP with revising its general branding, which contributed to a large increase in membership. I carried the branding changes further and refined the Tax Store branding as well as developed marketing plans for 2013 and 2014, which resulted in sales increases.
Before working at NATP, I worked with Image Studios in Appleton, WI on their photo contributions to the Kohler Companies new website. I also assisted Image Studios with other projects including Oshkosh Trucks and Pierce Manufacturing.
Graphic design has always been my passion, a passion that I am able to call a career. When I’m not designing websites or marketing pieces, I enjoy spending time outdoors. I ride my bike as much as I can and spend most of my summer weekends on a lake in northern Wisconsin or traveling. Check out what I’m up to on my blog.
I encourage you to browse my portfolio to review past projects, and feel free to reach out if you’re interested in learning more and working with me.
